Everett Kimsey Moss, 95, of Hayesville, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022.

Everett was born in Hiawassee, Ga. to the late Richard and Ola Phillips Moss. He was a steel mill worker. Everett enjoyed singing, choir directing and playing guitar. He loved gardening and loved all of his family. Everett was also a United States Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first and second wife, Rosanna Saccucci Moss and Winnie Garrett Moss; his daughter, Sharron Howard; his brothers, Ophar L. Moss and J.C. Moss; and his sisters, Velma Gribble, Wanda Hogsed, Lois Ledford, Lorene Hall and Evelyn Smart.

He is survived by his son, Rick Moss and wife, Jennifer; a daughter, Karen Moss Zangara; his sisters, Murrell Rogers and husband, Edward, and Brenda Rogers and husband, Ben; his sister-in-laws, Norma Jean Moss and Mary Moss; his brother-in-law, James V. Ledford; his grandchildren, Joel Mills and wife, Sarah, Caleb Howard and wife, Demi, Brandon Attaway, Karla Allison, Katlyn Tanner and Kyle Moss; his great-grandchildren, Jesse Allison and Addison, Ella Attaway, Vivianna Acevedo, Isla and Rosie Tanner.

A funeral service was held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Darrin Cook officiated. Burial was at Bell Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brandon Attaway, Kyle Moss, Chuck, Eric and Bengy Rogers and Tyler Ledford.

The family received friends from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the chapel prior to the service.
