Florence Elaine Carlisle, 85, of Marietta, Georgia passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Hayesville, North Carolina. She was a native of Acworth, Georgia, but lived most of her life in Marietta, Georgia. She worked as a technical illustrator for Lockheed Martin for more than 30 years until retirement.
She was the daughter of the late Jim and Mae Bess Hall Carlisle. She was also preceded in death by the father of her daughter, Ray Penland; three sisters, Evelyn, Bronzie, and Margaret; and three brothers, Gene, Alton, and Leonard.
Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Gibson and husband, Darrell of Hayesville; a granddaughter, Courtney Gibson Eubanks and husband, Steven of Brevard, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren, Hunter Brooke, Stone, Kaylee, and Jaxin Eubanks; and three great-great-grandchildren, Zack, Laela, and Briar; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private graveside will be held at Marshall’s Chapel Methodist Cemetery.
