Henry Auden Thistle, 35, of Brasstown passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019. He was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County. Auden worked at Ironman Industries in Hayesville for several years as a machinist. Auden was a talented artist and enjoyed motocross. He was a lifelong lover of Batman. He always put others first and their needs before himself. Auden was a devout Christian.
He was the son of Ted and Jill Thistle, of Brasstown.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Haley Thistle, of Brasstown. He is also survived by his uncle and mentor, Paul Thistle and wife, Brenda, of Blue Ridge, Ga., as well as several other aunts and uncles.
Auden will be remembered by his many friends, whom he loved like family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Murphy Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Chris Flick officiating.
A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Henry Auden Thistle to Community Connections, 252 Valley River Ave., Murphy, NC 28906.
