John Abe Zimmerman

John Abe Zimmerman, 77, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2022 at his home after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Carl and Norma Mashburn Zimmerman. John had worked many years with the NCDOT. He graduated from Murphy High School in 1963. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening,and picking his guitar.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan Brendle Zimmerman; two sons, James "Bo" Zimmerman and Wesley Zimmerman; and two grandchildren.
