Joseph Leo Price II

Joseph Leo Price II, 38, of Hayesville, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his residence. Born July 30, 1983 in Statesboro, Ga. to Carolyn Sue Price, of Hayesville, and the late Joseph Leo Price. Leo lived most of his life in Hayesville. He had worked in construction alongside his father for many years. He worked locally for Circuit World delivering furniture and working in collections. Leo also worked with Friends Moving Company for several years. He attended Woods Grove Baptist Church. Leo was talented working with computers and liked to have a good time with family and friends.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Price, and his paternal grandmother, Reva Lois Price.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two daughters, Alexis and Gwendlyn “Winnie” Price, both of Hayesville; four sisters, Renee Townson, of Young Harris, Ga., Denise Jones, of Murphy, N.C., Amanda Price, of Houston, Texas, and Brittany Price Josack and husband, Derek, of Hayesville; a brother, Anthony Parker and wife, Julie, of Guyton, Ga.; the mother of his daughter, Alexis, Macayla Lockaby; a grandchild on the way and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 24 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating. The service will be live streamed on Ivie Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Cupit, Roger Turner and Josh Cook.

The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Friday at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville, prior to the service.
