Keith Ray McTaggart, 65 of Fletcher, NC passed away on November 11, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born In Hiawassee, GA on June 28, 1956 to the late Dennis and Miranda Inez Patton McTaggart. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Cecil McTaggart; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Penland.
Keith was a member of Foster Seventh Day Adventist Church in Asheville, NC. He had a great love for God and people. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Pathfinders for over 20 years. His passions were fishing, hiking, cooking, camping, hunting and telling epic stories.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Beth McTaggart; sons, Zachary McTaggart of Candler, NC and Mathew McTaggart (Sylvia) of Hendersonville, NC; stepsons, Roy Ryan Piercy (Tara) of Winston-Salem, NC and Craig Piercy of Elgin, SC; step-grandchildren, Ethan and Caleb Piercy; sisters, Louise McTaggart of Blairsville, GA, Ruth Penland of Hoschton, GA and Reba Dockery (Paul) of Hayesville, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
