Lois Ann Killian Kirby

Lois Ann Killian Kirby, 80, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Bert William and Carrie May Dowell Killian. She worked with ACI Electronics in shipping. Lois enjoyed quilting, camping, flower gardening and word searches. Lois was a member of Chatuge Hill Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howell Kirby; brothers, Charles and Carl Killian; and a sister, Della Parker.

Surviving is her son, Gary Lee Kirby and wife, Tammy; daughter, Shelly Smith and husband, Floyd; grandchildren, Diane Dockery and husband, Shane, and Jeremy Kirby and fiance, Lauren Kimsey; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Avery and Ellis Dockery.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville with Aileen Mosteller officiating. Interment was in Union Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mitchell, Benny and Jeremy Kirby, Shane Dockery, Josh Stone and Joel Patterson.

The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
