Lucille Mirandi Bettie, 73, of Warne passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was born in Yonkers, NY to the late Arthur and Helen Solomine Mirandi. She was a former school teacher in Florida, and had worked at several restaurants in the Hayesville area. Lucille was a member of the Catalyst Church in Hayesville. She loved her family and people in general. Lucille liked to quilt, make jewelry, and shop.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Erik Borchardt.
Surviving are her husband, Dale Bettie; two daughters, Tammy Borchardt and Tricia McFadden and husband, Brian; two brothers, John Mirandi and Arthur Mirandi and wife Susan; a sister, Marianne Skiera; two granddaughters, Samantha and Summer Borchardt; nieces, Christina Skiera, Shelly Mirandi-Evans, Madison Barry, Mackenzie and Cassidi Mirandi; nephews, Mikey and Brent Skiera, and Matthew Mirandi; and great nephews, Kayne McFarlane and Archer Evans.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Catalyst Church in Hayesville with Rev. Brandon Matheson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday afternoon at the Catalyst Church prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the local humane society: Valley River Humane Society, PO BOX 658, Murphy, NC 28906 or the children's home: Truett Baptist Association Children's Home, 75 W Vineyard Lane, Hayesville, NC 28904.
