Mr. James Steven Hall, 81, of Slave Drive, Hayesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Hall was born on June 2, 1941 in Hayesville. He was the son of the late Frank Hall and the late Ruth Lowe Hall. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army of the Berlin Crisis. He was a lifelong resident of Clay County. Steven was a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather. His family was his life. He loved life to its fullest, was always very outgoing and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah “Betsy” Bradshaw Hall who passed away in 2007, a son, Ricky Hall and two brothers, Loel and Rod Hall. Mr. Hall was a member of Truett McConnell Memorial Church.

Surviving Mr. Hall are his daughter, Stephanie Lowe and her fiance’, Tony Long, of Blairsville; one sister, Dolores Dyer, of Blairsville; one brother, Rex Hall, of Blue Ridge,Ga.; one granddaughter, Megan Lowe, of Blairsville; several nieces, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 from the Mountain View Chapel with Revs. Aud Brown and  Danny White officiating. Special music will be presented by Debbie Braswell.

The family will meet with friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28.

The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jason Dyer, Earl and Greg Bradshaw, Jeff Hall, Dave West and David Dyer.

Interment will follow in the Baptist Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hayesville where he will be next to his beloved wife Betsy. Military Honors will be presented by The North Georgia Honor Guard. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Mr. Halls’ memory.
