Raymond F. Cotton

Raymond F. Cotton, 78, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his residence.

Ray was born in Mobile, Ala. He served in the United States Air Force. Raymond began his career with IBM and later owned and operated a real estate company in Hayesville.

He was the son of the late Raymond C. and Marion Campbell Cotton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ted Cotton and wife, Lorraine; and sister, Trudy.

Surviving are his wife, Patti Cotton; a daughter, Miranda Stott and Ted, of Rome, Ga.; two sons, Chris Cotton and Misty, and Mike Cotton, all of Hayesville; and five grandchildren, Holden and Jace Cotton, Theo, Laura and Catherine Stott. Raymond is also survived by a sister Madelaine and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date.
