Ronald "Ronnie" Edwin Foster, 62, of Hayesville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022.

He was born in Hiawassee, Ga. to the late Robert and Kay Carroll Foster. Ronnie was an inspector. He coached basketball for 21 years, coached T-Ball and little league baseball, ran little league football for 10 years and manned the time clock for JV and varsity football for 27 years. Ronnie was a Carolina Tarheel fan, Hayesville Jacket fan and Appalachian State Mountaineer fan. He enjoyed playing corn hole and horseshoes. Ronnie enjoyed his daughter's artwork and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Ronnie loved the Lord, going to church and praising the Lord.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Foster and one grandson, Camden Ronald Foster.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Baker Foster; one son, Johnathon Foster (Tiffany), of Murphy; one daughter, Lana Foster, of Hayesville; one brother, Michael Foster, of Hayesville; and two grandchildren, Elijah and Dylan Foster.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiated. Burial was in the Meadow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jonathon and Steven Foster, Michael Cothren, David and Robert Rogers and Bo Cordell. Honorary pallbearers were Michael and Dylan Foster.

The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
