Wanda Gail Maney

Wanda Gail Maney, 66, of Hiawassee, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021 at her home. Wanda was born Nov. 4, 1954 in Hayesville to the late Ernest and Pearl Canup Monkus. 

Wanda was of the Baptist faith. She was a simple woman who loved to spend time with her family and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a cook for many years and enjoyed going bowling with her husband. In her down time she liked to watch The Golden Girls or Roseanne. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kelly Monkus; sisters, Linda Phillips and Lois Buelle Long.

She is survived by her husband of almost 51 years, Larry Maney; daughter, Misty (Shannon) Garrison; son, Jamie (Jodie) Maney; brothers, Owen (Virginia) Monkus and Allen (Bonnie) Monkus; brother in law, Troy Phillips; grandchildren, Casey and Cody Garrison and Cameron and Chase Maney; many nieces and nephews.
