William Palmer Milne, III, 81, of Hayesville, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born in Louisville, Ky. to the late Rev. William Milne, Jr. and Martha Jo Walters Milne. William had worked as a restaurant manager and trainer. He enjoyed music and particularly singing in various choirs in the barbershop association in Blairsville. William was an excellent chef, enjoyed cooking, woodworking and was an excellent dancer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Douglas Milne and a brother, Charles Milne.
Surviving are his wife, Sherrill Milne; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Milne; a step-daughter, Susan J. Borkman and husband Michael; a sister, Elanor Kenitzer; two granddaughters, Corey and Allison and a grandson, Michael.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Hickory Stand United Methodist Church in Hayesville. Rev. Larry Payne will officiate.
