With the holiday season right around the corner, The Clay County Food Pantry is starting its annual fund-raiser to help provide a traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for the less fortunate families living in Clay County. These meals include a choice of turkey, ham, or chicken, plus all the “fixin’s” as well as the normal weekly selection of other foods.

Last year, with the help of local churches, businesses and individuals, we were successful in serving an average of more than 330 families for each of these holidays. Donations of turkeys, food, or a financial contribution can be accepted any Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the food pantry on Hinton Center Road. Financial contributions can also be mailed to Clay County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 853, Hayesville, N.C. 28904.

Thank you in advance for your generous help and support.
