Hayesville’s JV girls continue to improve, but were unable to gain the upper hand against two strong conference foes last week.

The Lady Jackets fell to Robbinsville, 51-11, on Friday night despite 6 points from Lilly Dockery. The Black Knights’ Abby Wehr was simply too much to handle. She scored 21.

Dockery’s offensive contribution was supplemented by Kayla Brown’s 3 points and 2 from Leah Thomas.

Last Tuesday, Cherokee powered past Hayesville, 59-11, despite 8 points from guard Leanna Alberta. Eleven Braves landed in the scoring column.

Alberta’s supporting cast included Dockery and Thomas with 2 points apiece and Kayla Brown with one marker.
