The Hayesville High School Quarterback Club held its first golf tournament on Saturday, May 30 at Mountain Harbour Golf Club, bringing together local golfers, businesses and supporters for a day of competition and community spirit.
The event was organized by Ethan Taylor and served as a fundraiser for the Hayesville High School football program. Proceeds from the tournament will help provide equipment, meals, travel assistance and other expenses throughout the upcoming season.
A total of 20 teams participated in the inaugural event, with golfers competing for top honors while supporting Yellow Jacket athletics. Organizers expressed appreciation to all players, sponsors, volunteers and supporters who helped make the tournament a success.
Taking home first place was the team of Frank Leatherwood, Brandon Arrowood, Curtis Phillips and Tim Hogsed with an impressive score of 51.
Finishing in second place was the team of Trint Rich, Derek Spiva, Brandon Bradburn and Steve Nasarene with a score of 53.
Third place went to the team of Seth Hedden, Dalton Key and Dalton Coker who posted a score of 58.
