Jeanette Patterson Parker, 88, of Hayesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023. She was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County and a member of Bethel Harvest church.
She was the daughter of the late Seth and Ola Hogsed Patterson and the wife of the late Carl “Shiloh” Parker who died Aug. 7, 2013. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Savannah Burch, and was the last surviving of her siblings.
Surviving are a daughter, Wanda Cook and husband, Donnie, of Hayesville; two sons, Harold Parker and wife, Evelyn, and Cline Parker, all of Hayesville; seven grandchildren, Shonia, Harold Jr., Dustin, Adam, Barry, Brandon and Kaylea and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home Hayesville with the Rev. John Talley officiating. Interment will be at Bethel cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry, Brandon, Dwain and Caleb Cook and Dustin and Adam Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Burch and Dustin Parker Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at Ivie Funeral Home Hayesville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Jeanette Patterson Parker to Bethel Harvest Cemetery, C/O Charles R. Parker 769 Muskrat Creek Rd. Hayesville, N.C. 28904.
