On Sept. 26, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, responded to the Marble area of Cherokee County regarding a possible deceased female.
Upon arrival, officers located the remains of a deceased female, according to a news released posted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman has been identified and the family has been notified. The sheriffs office posted that additional information about the incident will be released at a later date.
