The annual Historic Hayesville Inc. Steins & Wine event proceeds have supported local partner and area projects for more than 12 years.
HHI is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and continues to sponsor the event featuring area breweries and wineries. Proceeds from last year were donated to the North Carolina Hurricane Relief Fund for needed supplies and food distribution to affected areas.
Prior to 2024 HHI donated to Clay County Communities Revitalization Association for restoration of the historic county courthouse to become the Beal Center as well as providing funds to help Clay County Historic & Arts Council do needed repairs to the Old Jail Museum.
Another project included the yellow building at 116 Sanderson Street which is owned by the Town of Hayesville. The building was vacant and needed many repairs as well as updates to become home to the Small Town Main Street office and HHI Centennial Exhibit by 2014 with the Barn Quilt Studio added later.
These are just some of
the examples of how
funds from Steins & Wine events have been used and hopefully the information will inspire folks to enjoy an evening in downtown Hayesville.
At least 10 vendors will be available with beer and wine. Food and non alcohol drinks will also be available for purchase.
Those registered by press time for the event include Cherokee Cellars, Buck Bald Brewing, Shooting Creeks Vines, Living Water Winery & Vineyard, Turtle's Eagle Fork Vineyards, Nocturnal Brewing, Snowbird Mountains Brewing, Laughing Dog Brewing, Valley River Vineyards and Hightower Creek Vineyards.
