Enchanted music on the square in Hiawassee

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13 people will start gathering on the Hiawassee square to hear “Out Past 9,” when they hit the stage.

“Out Past 9” is a seven-member band that plays ‘feel-good, sing-along’ dance tunes from the late-50s, 60s and 70s, with some songs from the 80’s.

Do you remember  “Johnny Angel,” “Love Potion #9,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance” or “Devil With the Blue Dress On”?  Well, these songs and more are what you will hear so join the fun at the Hiawassee Enchanted Music on the Square Summer Concert Series . Come to listen or come to dance either way come early and bring your outdoor chair, your singing voice and some shoes to dance. Arlene, Kelly and Wayne provide the vocals. Rob plays lead guitar. Bill plays the keyboards. John plays the bass guitar and Peter plays the drums. Together they are “Out Past 9” from Gainesville, Ga. Admission is free.

Thanks to our corporate sponsors and the City of Hiawassee who keep our concerts going. The VFW food truck arrives at 6 p.m. Music on the square weekly. Great family fun. Well behaved pets are welcome, if we are outside.
