Friday Night Lights on the Hayesville Square gets even sweeter at 7 p.m. on July 28 when Clay County Communities Revitalization Association welcomes Sugah and Thuh Cubes to the Historic Courthouse-Beal Center grounds.

A high energy soul, R&B and blues band based in Cherokee, Sugah and Thuh Cubes create interactive, exciting entertainment for their audiences. Lead vocalist Phyllis “Sugah” Shell is joined by JD Watty on drums, Don Patten on Bass, Mike Parker playing guitar and Hayesville’s own Erik Rogers (vocals) to deliver one sweet night of fun.

Hayesville Q will sell their tasty barbecue and the American Legion Auxiliary will be selling your favorite hot dogs and popcorn as a veterans fundraiser. Local Laughing Dogs Brewery will offer beer, wine and cider for sale. Food and beverage service starts at 6 p.m. Bring your family and friends early to find a good spot for your lawn chairs or blankets.

Free transportation to and from nearby parking areas is provided on the Red Rider, courtesy of Historic Hayesville Inc. The Kids Zone, courtesy of The Still Place, will offer games and activities for youngsters.

CCCRA’s free concerts are made possible through sponsorships from private individuals, businesses and organizations and from donations to the red bucket on concert nights. The Rotary Club of Lake Chatuge and Clay County Historical & Arts Council are key sponsors this season.

There are only three concerts left this year: July 28, Aug. 4th, and Aug. 18, so don’t miss out.

If we are forced to make a difficult decision to cancel or reschedule any of our Friday night concerts due to weather, an announcement will be made on both the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association website and the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association Facebook page.
