Four-legged furry friends took over the Hayesville town square on Saturday and it was all for a good cause.
The Celebration of Pets attracted a crowd of pets and humans alike, but it also brought together many animal rescue groups and included a rabies and microchipping clinic.
In addition a few animals were adopted to new homes.
The event is in its 12th year and has grown to include activities for dogs, cats and children along with a silent auction. Proceeds benefit area rescue efforts.
