Eclectic southern rock group Hush Money makes their Clay County Communities Revitalization Association Friday Summer Concert debut on Friday, July 26, bringing a contemporary sound that is deeply rooted in vintage rock, blues and outlaw country to the Historic Courthouse/Beal Center gazebo on the square in Hayesville.

With members hailing from the foothills of the southern Appalachians, Hush Money includes brothers Greg and Seth Weaver, their cousin Nathaniel Newberry and lead guitarist, Caleb Logan. Known for a dynamic live show, the band showcases strong musical talent, multi-layered harmonies and serious song-writing skills. The band honed their craft by playing a mix of outlaw country and classic rock in small-town venues across the United States. Fresh off a May tour of the United Kingdom, including an appearance at the Call of the Wild Festival in Lincolnshire County, Hush Money can now tout performances in Mexico, Canada, Europe and Australia. And soon, Hayesville.

CCCRA produces the Friday Summer Concert Series as a community engagement effort, with help of key sponsors, donations from private individuals, businesses and organizations, and from audience contributions to the red buckets on concert nights. This season’s key sponsors are The Richard Kelley Group - RE/MAX Town & Country; Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Jodi Sullivan and Highway 69 Storage. This concert is the sixth of eight concerts in the 2024 line-up. Southern Vantage will play on Aug. 9 and Gnarly Fingers closes out the season Aug. 16.

Free parking is available around the square and in area parking lots. You don’t even have to walk — just flag down our version of rapid transit — Historic Hayesville Inc’s the Red Rider golf cart  to get a lift to the square and back to your car.

Bring your appetite with you. Hayesville Q will roll their truck onto the square filled with delicious pulled pork and beef brisket. The American Legion Post 532 will sell yummy popcorn and freshly grilled hot dogs to raise funds for veterans and Laughing Dogs Brewing will offer beer, wine and cider. Pick out a nice spot on the lawn to set up your chairs or blankets with your family and friends. Food and beverage service starts at 6 p.m. and music at 7 p.m.

If we must make the difficult decision to cancel and/or reschedule any of our Friday night concerts due to weather, an announcement will be made on both the CCCRA website events page: www.cccra-nc.org/cccra-events and the CCCRA Facebook page: www.facebook.com/cccranc.
