On Friday, June 24, The Murphs will host the second concert of the 2022 Summer Concert Series on the Hayesville town square. Food service begins at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
The Murphs are a Georgia-based Americana group featuring Austin Coleman, Katie Coleman and Cody Marlowe. From blues and folk to rock and country, a wide variety of genres are found in their music; all directed to the expression of true, honest rock n’ roll.
Singer/songwriter Austin Coleman: www.austincolemanmusic.com, primarily plays bass in the band adding lead and harmony vocals throughout the set. His wife, Katie, plays tambourine and adds lead and harmony vocals. Katie’s brother, Cody Marlowe: www.codymarlowe.com, sings and plays electric guitar. Together, this family band blends intriguing harmonies and raw tones reminiscent of music found in the old days. You won’t want to miss it.
Beer and wine will be available to purchase from Laughing Waters, a new business coming to the square affiliated with Nocturnal Brewing. Pic-A-Nick Basket Deli will have food available to purchase and the American Legion Auxiliary will be roasting their crowd favorite hot dogs as a fundraiser.
This year CCCRA is selling “Summer Concerts on the Square” T-shirts. Be sure you grab one of these unique shirts at the CCCRA table. Cash or card accepted.
CCCRA’s Summer Concert Series is made possible through sponsorships from private individuals, businesses, organizations and from donations to the red buckets on concert nights.
