The Peacock Performing Arts Center presents Songwriters Showcase 55 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 — a one-night-only celebration of musical storytelling, hosted by local favorite Rob Tiger, spotlighting original music and the artists behind the songs. Audiences can expect an intimate, inspiring evening featuring the kind of music that stays with you long after the last note.

This edition of the beloved showcase features a standout lineup of incredible artists whose voices and songs are making waves across the southeast and beyond:

• Hailing from Nashville, Ava Paige is a young country music phenom whose songwriting ability has already earned recognition from Music City’s top talents.
Having written alongside legends like Marla Cannon-Goodman and Kendell Marvel, Paige’s journey is one of resilience and heart. After pausing her career to battle leukemia at just 14, she returns to the stage cancer-free, using her music and platform to inspire and give back — raising more than $10 million for childhood cancer research.

• With more than three million streams on hits like “Where The Wild Things Are” and “Outrun The Gray,” Moose Miller brings a gritty, cinematic country sound rooted in the backwoods life he knows and loves. Produced by Grammy-winner Mark Bright, his music resonates with fans of raw, unfiltered storytelling and the resilience of small-town living.

• Known for her soulful vocals and intricate finger style guitar work, Abigail Dowd seamlessly blends folk, rock, blues and spiritual influences into music that’s deeply moving and musically rich. Her latest album, “Beautiful Day,” produced by Grammy-nominated Jason Richmond, captures her power as both a storyteller and a performer.

Also, there is one final audition from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 for "Wrong Window!" a tribute to Hitchcock and the classic film, "Rear Window," with much comedy added to the mystery.  Needed are five men, three women and one role either gender.  Call the office for details.
