Sam Jokich/Staff Correspondent The thunderstorm that rolled into Cherokee County late on the night of May 8 left behind lots of damages in Peachtree and beyond, including on Shadow Lane in Tar Heel. Cherokee County Emergency Management said the area “experienced significant storm damage overnight.”
