The Songwriters Showcase celebrates a significant milestone next weekend with its 50th show at the Peacock. At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 three Nashville-based Americana musicians will descend on the theater to impress the audience with their lyricism and storytelling.

Lacy Green began her musical journey at the age of 13, while growing up in the foothills of North Carolina. Her soulful vocals and thoughtful lyrics helped her land a publishing deal and now more than 30 of her songs have been recorded by other artists. Green has played at CMA Fest, The Bluebird Cafe and Music City Roots.

Milan Miller is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist with a wry southern wit and a trusty tenor voice. Miller has made appearances at venues ranging from Red Rocks Amphitheater to Symphony Hall. He has scored 37 No. 1 songs in the bluegrass genre and was named the Songwriter of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2020.

Thomm Jutz was a classically trained musician raised in the Black Forest of Germany before he turned his attention to bluegrass music. His 2020 album, “To Live in Two Worlds,” Volume 1 was nominated for the Best Bluegrass Album Grammy, making him the first immigrant to receive a nomination in that category.

If you have not experienced this engaging event that has become a tradition at the Peacock, now is the time to check it out.
