The Clay County Communities Revitalization Association Friday Summer Concert Series continues at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 with Southern Vantage returning to Hayesville’s historic courthouse square.
Formed in 2016, Southern Vantage is a southern rock and country band whose members enjoy bringing live music to the Tri-State and north Georgia area. Band members Andrew Smith with lead vocals and guitar, Devin Ruff on drums and vocals and Brian Nicholson on bass and vocals combine elements of modern classic country and modern classic rock to cover a variety of genres and hit songs. Their crowd-pleasing tunes have made them regulars on the gazebo stage.
The Southern Vantage concert is the seventh in this year’s eight-concert lineup. With the help of key sponsors, donations from private individuals, businesses, organizations and from audience contributions to the red buckets on concert nights, these free concerts are a Hayesville treasure.
CCCRA is grateful for this season’s key sponsors: Edward Jones - Financial Advisor Jodi Sullivan, Highway 69 Storage and The Richard Kelley Group - RE/MAX Town & Country. The last concert of the season will be Aug. 16 with Gnarly Fingers.
Come early and bring your favorite people, comfy lawn chairs or blankets and find the perfect spot on the Beal Center grounds. Food and beverage service starts at 6 p.m. and music at 7 p.m.
Arrive hungry as Pic-a-Nick Basket Deli will tempt you with flavorful hot and cold sandwiches and the American Legion Post 532 will whet your appetite with the delicious aroma of hot dogs grilling and popcorn popping. Laughing Dogs Brewing will offer beer, wine and cider.
Free parking is available around the square and in area parking lots. Don’t want to walk far? No problem. Just flag down our version of rapid transit – Historic Hayesville Inc’s Red Rider golf cart for a free lift to the square and back to your car.
