Ava Shook and Aaliyah Jackson drove the beat down bulldozer.
In the second quarter, Shook scored 10 markers on 4-of-7 shots and rejected two shots, while Jackson commandeered seven boards, two points, an assist and a steal.
The decisive second was nearly a masterpiece for Hayesville: 7-of-14 field goal shooting, 19 rebounds and just two turnovers.
The Lady Jackets owned a 29-8 advantage at the intermission.
The Indians outscored Hayesville, 10-6, in the third quarter, but the crater was too deep to climb out of.
Towns County trailed by 17 entering the final act but got no closer than 16.
Hayesville slammed the door with consecutive buckets inside from Ava Moore, the first on Lucy Trout’s feed, the second on a delicious dish from Micalynn McClure that gave Hayesville 20-point separation. For good measure, Danielle Anderson scored an easy deuce on a picture-perfect inbound play triggered by Shook. Anderson struck again 30 seconds later with a nifty turnaround that pushed the lead to 46-22.

Hayesville 60, Rosman 17
The Lady Yellow Jackets held the Tigers scoreless for — would you believe, 17 minutes and 42 seconds — last Friday night?
Ava Shook and Lucy Trout led a shock-and-awe campaign that produced a 32-0 halftime score and Hayesville’s bench blanked the visitors 15-0 in the fourth quarter to ice the lopsided victory cake.
The Lady Jackets had their mojo working overtime from the opening tip.
The main ‘mojovators’ were Shook and Trout. In the first half alone, ‘Unshakeable Shook’ wrecked Rosman with 13 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists in 11:39 of play, while ‘Doozy Miss Lucy’ added 7 points, three rebounds, two thefts and two dimes in 8:30. Both tossed in two three-pointers.
Shook and Trout also spearheaded a suffocating defense. Five Lady Jackets picked pockets and the Black-and-Gold forced 11 turnovers and 0-of-14 shooting in the first two quarters.
Hayesville also controlled the glass to the tune of 29-12.
No.’s 2 and 3 played sparingly in the second, but the offense clicked just as well with Micalynn McClure, Caroline Wade, Aaliyah Jackson and Olivia Free whipping the ball around the perimeter, zipping the ball inside or driving to the rim when they saw daylight.
Shook’s night included 16 points, 3-of-3 from the field, eight rebounds, three steals and three assists. Trout tallied 10 points, four steals, four rebounds and three assists.
Jasmine Brooks, who was superb in the paint playing the high post, took center stage in the third quarter by torching the nets with 3-of-4 firing. She totaled 12 points (on 6-of-11 popping) and three rebounds.
Free was the driving force during the one-sided fourth. Free nailed all three shots she lofted — a pair of treys and a two. Trout, two steals, a rebound and an assist and Kayla Brown, two boards, a dime and a steal provided support during the final eight minutes.
All 13 Lady Jackets pulled down at least one rebound as Hayesville collected 42 caroms. Shook led the way and Danielle Anderson grabbed five boards in the first half, while Briley Clampitt pulled down five and Ava Moore collected four in less than three quarters.
