Freshman softball sensation Micalynn McClure capped an outstanding season by being named to the All-Smoky Mountain Conference Team.
Hayesville’s Swiss army knife definitely had an all-star season: .500 batting average; a .522 on base percentage; 22 hits; 14 runs; 10 stolen bases and a home run.
“Micalynn had a great year for us,” remarked Hayesville Coach Marissa Peck. “She was a true utility player, but utilized mostly at pitcher, catcher and third. She has a team mindset and works hard not only at practice but on her own time to be better than the day before. I’m excited to build on these numbers as she enters her sophomore season.”
