Members of the Mountain Lakes Pickleball group will be providing lessons on Saturday, May 10 for anyone interested in learning the game of pickleball. The free clinic will be held on the outdoor courts at the Clay County Sports Complex beginning at 9 a.m.
Registration is not required. Players should come with comfortable court shoes. There will be loaner pickleball paddles available. The lessons will last an hour or more depending on the number of participants.
Pickleball is often described as a combination of tennis and ping pong. The game is played on a smaller court than tennis. The basic rules and skills can be quick to learn. The game provides a good physical work out and is very social in nature. Pickleball is suitable for players of all ages and is currently the fastest growing sport in the country.
MLP encourages anyone interested to attend the free clinic on May 10.
