Hayesville High School hosted the first Smoky Mountain Conference cross country meet of the year last Wednesday, Aug 21. Between middle school and high school teams there were 16 teams in attendance. Hayesville High school had a very strong showing with the high school boys finishing in 2nd and the high school girls finishing in 3rd.
Noah Carter and Jackson Dye led the men’s team with strong first meet performances. Elio Murrilo, Micah Moss and Cannon Brewer rounded out the scoring 5 for Hayesville.
Individual performances for HHS men were as follows:
• 4th - Noah Carter in a time of 18:17.91
• 7th - Jackson Dye in a time of 18:39.28
• 9th - Elio Murillo in a time of 19:37.88
• 14th - Micah Moss in a time of 20:14.19
• 17th - Cannon Brewer in a time of 20:28.86
• 18th - Braylen Thompson in a time of 20:45.72
• 19th - Parker Hughes in a time of 21:00.24
• 28th - Will Denton in a time of 22:14.82
• 31st - Cooper Matheson in a time of 22:36.76
• 34th - Logan Cummins in a time of 24:19.11
• 44th - Tucker Dockery in a time of 27:15.73
• 48th - Jake Armstrong in a time of 28:28.13
• 49th - Robert Hughes in a time of 28:40.48
• 51st - Robert Manning in a time of 31:34.17

• 9th - Raelynn Wood in a time of 23:27.71
• 12th - Marlo Joyce in a time of 24:16.88

• 23rd - Jadyn Kimber in a time of 33:37.05
