Hayesville cross country runners got their season underway Saturday, Aug. 21 in Swain County. The varsity Yellow Jackets ended the day in fourth while the varsity Lady Jackets didn’t have enough runners to compile a score. The middle school girls bested three other schools for a first place finish while the boys team had an overall finish of third.
