We were blessed with great golf weather on Monday, June 2 for our league play. The course is filling in nicely after our rainy weather. Our game was the Stableford format. Flight one winners were Martha Zimmer in first place, Mary Mott in second and Bonnie Shore in third. Flight two winners were Linda Miles in first, Linda Robinson in second and Martha Barker in third. Martha Zimmer had the lowest number of putts in flight one and Janean Yankowskas came in second. Linda Miles and Linda Robinson tied for lowest putts in the second flight.
The shot of the day was taken by Judy Aube, who had an awesome chip-in on hole No. 13 from about 33 yards off the green. She made that shot out of some thick, tall grass.
Two players had shots on the same hole that defied the law of gravity. Both made shots on hole No. 10 that resulted in their golf balls skipping on water and landing in the fairway.
