On Thursday, April 3 the Hayesville High School Women’s Soccer team played Cherokee at home.

They played hard but still lost 5 to 0. Throughout the season they are good at defense but not always getting the ball into the goal. Emily Dowling had 12 saves total, four in the first half and eight in the second half. The team had a total of 34 steals.

Emily Aguilera Garcia had the most with seven steals and Reese Segars is right behind her with six steals. Emily Lyvers had five steals, Emma Elver had four steals, Aydah Judd and Leah Thomas both had three steals. Camila Nava Gamez and Olivia Grizzle had two steals and Alondra Garcia and Summer Brochardt both had one steal. Reese Seagars made two shots on goal attempts and Emily Lyvers made one and two shots that were not on goal. Summer Brochardt made a shot one goal. The team can play but they need a little more work on their offensive.
