Hayesville High School varsity Jacket track team places second

    Hayesville High School track team traveled to Montreat College for the Swain County High School Invitational on Thursday, March 14.  The meet consisted of 16 schools, 1A-4A.  Both boys and girls competed well coming in fourth overall and second in 1A.

    Girls

    • First - Sydney Greenstone, 1600 and 3200 meter.

    • First - Lily Trout discus.

    • Second - Ava Shook, 400 meter.

    • Second - Ella Matheson, high jump and triple jump.

    • Third - Savannah Burch, Alexia Fields, Raelynn Wood and Sydney Greenstone, 4x800 meter relay.

    • Fourth - Lily Trout, shot put.

    Boys

    • Fourth - Landon Hughes, Cannon Brewer, Jackson Dye, and Noah Carter, 4x800 meter relay

    • Fourth - Isaac Chandler, Elio Murillo, Jacob Jones, and Seth Leek, 4x400 meter relay.
