On Monday, March 17, Hayesville Middle School Girls ran a track meet at home winning it with 119 points. Here's how the Jackets fared:
High jump: Leah Black, first place with 4 feet 2 inches; Ellie Black third place with 4 feet even.
Long jump: Lucy Trout, first place with 13 feet 3.50 inches; Ellie Brown, third place with 11 feet 6 inches.
Triple jump: Lucy Trout, first place with 29 feet 8 inches; Ellie Brown, sixth place with 25 feet 4 inches.
Discus throw: Harper Ledford, first place with 65 feet 6.50 inches; Cadence King, third place with 60 feet 4 inches; Alaina Crawford, fifth place with 53 feet 7 inches.
Shot put: Cadence King, fifth place with 23 feet 6.50 inches; Bree Wade, sixth place with 23 feet 1 inch.
4x800 meter relay: Ayden Margo, Kennedy Trapp, Lily Gordon and Makenna Moss, second place with 12:22.14; Ava Martin, Allie Godfrey, Shelby Scarbrough, and Emma Adams, fourth place with 12:43.44.
100 meter hurdles: Taylyn Young, fifth place with 21.32.
100 meter dash: Lucy Trout, first place with 14.19.
4x200 meter relay: Anna Cate Evans, Annie Godfrey, Eva Jones and Taylyn Young, second place with 2:09.62.
1600 meter run: Makenna Moss, first place with 6:13.69; Alaina Greenstone, second place with 6:32.44; Kennedy Trapp, fifth place with 6:51.23.
4x100 meter relay: Anna Cate Evans, Annie Godfrey, Eva Jones and Taylyn Young, Second place with 1:00.62.
400 meter dash: Ayden Margo, fourth place with 1:15.64; Mati Canup, fifth place with 1:16.02.
800 meter run: Makenna Moss, first place with 2:48.61; Alaina Greenstone, third place with 3:03.19; Ellie Brown, fourth place with 3:07.12.
200 meter dash: Lucy Trout, second place with 30.51.
4x400 meter relay: Ayden Margo, Mati Canup, Taylyn Young and Makenna Moss, first place with 5:03.53; Annie Godfrey, Allie Godfrey, Callie Graves and Lynleigh Fuller, third place with 5:23.86.
