Eight Yellow Jackets scored as the Hayesville JV boys spanked visiting Towns County, 53-22 on Friday, Dec. 6.
Daemien Soto led the way with 14 points. Kabe Shaheen added 9 points. Carter Whitfield had 8 — all in the second half. E.J. Mapusua. Micah Moss and Wes Jennings had 4 points each. Byron Engelman and Daxon Brugges contributed 2 apiece.
Hayesville roared to a 13-4 first-quarter lead, extended the spread to 26-7 at the half, and outscored Towns County in both the third and fourth quarters with an offense that only turned the ball over four times after the intermission.
