High school soccer team plays good defense despite the score

    On Monday, March 24, the Hayesville High School Soccer Team played Towns County at home. They lost by the mercy rule with 0-9 but played a challenging game with a good defense. The goalie Emily Dowling had 13 saves in the first half of the game and three saves in the second half.

    Emily Lyvers had the most steals in the first half with three and one in the second. Leah Thomas had the most steals in the second half with four and one in the first. Having the most steals in the whole game. Reese Seagers, Emma Elvers and Emily Aguilera Oall had two steals, one in each half. Olivia Grizzle, Noelia Fonceca and Camila Nava Gamez had one steal for the game. Reese Segars had six shots total four of those being on goal. Noelia Fonceca had one shot on goal and Summer Borchardt had one shot.

    Overall a good game with steals and saves but just having trouble getting it in the goal.
