HMS Lady Jackets defeated by Cherokee Braves

    The Cherokee Middle School Lady Braves defeated the Hayesville Middle School Lady Jackets on Tuesday, April 2, 15-3. HMS got on the board in the first inning after Caroline Wade doubled, scoring 1 run.

    The Braves jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second when the Braves scored 6 runs. Micalynn McClure and Candance King each collected two hits for the Lady Jackets. McClure and Bauer drove in 2 more runs for the Lady Jackets.

    On Thursday, April 4, the Lady Jackets faced the Braves on home turf but could not keep up with them as the Braves defeated the Jackets 7-2. Wade started off the game for the Jackets giving up seven hits and four runs, striking out three and walked three over four innings. Kara Bauer and Wade were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for HMS. Bauer led the Lady Jackets with one run batted in and went 2-for-4 for the day.

    The Lady Jackets will face Murphy at home at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 and then they will travel into enemy territory to Murphy on Friday, April 19. Come out and support the Lady Jackets.
