First round of SMC Tournament

On Monday, Jan. 9 the Lady Jackets hosted Andrews in a regular season conference game grabbing the win 50-33. Kaydence Morrow mopped the floor with her offensive skill by sinking 20 points for Hayesville. Morrow grabbed two rebounds and two assists.
Jasmine Brooks backed up the boards with 11 points, four rebounds and three assists; Danielle Anderson, 8 points and eight rebounds; Ava Moore, 6 points and five rebounds; Aaliyah Jackson, 3 points and Callie Long, 2 points for the victory.
On Wednesday, Jan. 11 the Lady Jackets traveled to Towns County defeating the Indians 32-13. Once again Morrow was high scorer with 13 points and four rebounds; Brooks was right in the mix with 12 points and seven rebounds. Also scoring for the win was Moore, 8 points and five rebounds; Anderson, 4 points and five rebounds.
Hayesville Middle School ladies fell to Andrews 35-27 in the first round of the Smoky Mountain Conference Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 14. According to coach Tammy Dills, “We came out flat and never could get in the groove of the game. Andrews got hot from behind the three and we struggled from the floor and charity stripe, which contributed to the loss.
