On Wednesday, Dec. 4 the Hayesville Middle School Yellow Jacket boys team played a non-conference game against the Towns County Indians and captured a win at home. The Jackets had a close game with a score of 44-35. The head coach is Dr. Rob Peck and assistant coach is Eli Roberts.
In this game the middle school boys showed improvement from the last time they played Towns on the road which resulted in a score of 29-14. Peck has commented that they have worked hard since then to try to improve the team. The boys have been focusing on improving their collaboration as a team and focusing on the fact that basketball is a team sport and not an individual sport.
They have an overall record of 5-3 and hope to continue to improve as we enter the next half of the season.
