Clay County Schools may have had the school day off but that didn't stop the Hayesville Middle School track teams from showing up and showing out. Cherokee, Andrews, Hiwassee Dam/Ranger and Heritage Christian all traveled to Hayesville to compete against the HMS Yellow Jackets on Monday, March 18.
This young track team has been dominating the conference this year. This success says a lot about the program at HMS and the expectations the coaches set for the student athletes. Having a solid foundation in middle school leads to championships at the high school level. We are so proud of how well this team is doing and can't wait to see what else they accomplish and records they set.
Track meets are at 3:30 p.m. Mondays. The next meets are Monday, April 1 in Hayesville. Come out and support the HMS track teams.
