The Hayesville Middle School track program wrapped up their year at Cherokee competing in the Conference Championship meet on Monday, April 22. Even though the meet results weren’t what the team was hoping for, they still put up a fight and finished the year strong. The women’s 4x400 relay team broke the school record again during this meet as did E.J. Mapasua throwing the shot put and the men’s 4x400 relay teams also crushed the school record. This track team will be one to watch as they go into high school. Congratulations HMS track on a successful year.
