The Lady Jackets traveled to Robbinsville on Saturday, Jan 13 to wrestle at the annual James Orr Tournament.

Amyna Denton wrestled in the 120 pound weight class and tied for matches won in her weight class.

Star Shelton wrestled in the 138 pound weight class and defeated two opponents earning her second place. Shelton has placed top two in the past five tournaments with three being first place.

Katie Miller wrestling at 165 pound weight class and went the distance by not getting pinned and also scored the most points in a match by her team.

The spotlight of this tournament was on Lilliani Denton who wrestled four times and defeated every challenger by pin. Three of the four pins were done in less than 20 seconds. Denton defeated last year’s 126 pound wrestler who earned fifth in the state also by pin. Lilliani had the most and fastest pins compared to any competitor at the tournament. Her record is a blistering 21-2 with first place finishes at the last three tournaments.
