    Hayesville’s JV boys basket ballers outscored Highlands 25-12 in the second half Thursday as the Yellow Jackets posted a 30-19 triumph on the Highlanders’ floor.

    Riley Rogers triggered the victory with 9 points, all in the decisive fourth period.

    Cooper Matheson, Kyle Shaheen and Peyton McGaha each kicked in 4 points. Landon Trout added 3. E.J. Abrams and Will Brown had 2 points apiece.

    Hayesville, 4-6, sought to extend its win streak to three in a row on Saturday, but fell to Andrews, 43-35.
