The Clay Shores Ladies Golf Association season opener was played on Tuesday, May 2 on a sunny but very windy spring day. The league celebrated opening day with a post round of grilled gourmet hot dogs by our “grill master” Glenda Geddings. Lunch was enjoyed by all and everyone is looking forward to a relaxed season of ladies’ golf.
The opening day game was a scramble, a great way to utilize everyone’s strengths on the course. Our first place winners were Kathy Stewart, Martha Barker, Evie Miller and Debra Estes with one over par. Our second place winners were Glenda Geddings, Claudia Rinaldo, Terie McComb and Linda Robinson at three over par. Congrats to our ladies.
Clay Shores Ladies Golf Association plays every Thursday at Chatuge Shores Golf Course, 260 Golf Course Rd, Hayesville. The league has 24 members from the tri-county area and includes golfers of all skill levels. If you are interested in joining email our president, Vicky Healy at: vhealy55@ gmail.com.
