Call it cabin fever after five rainy days in a row or the love of golf, but the Mountain Harbour Ladies Golf Association is reaching its stride with 24 ladies anxious to play and reconnect with each other. The group was largest to date.
On July 22, the game was 2-1-2 on 3-4-5 whereas, two low net balls of four were needed on par 3’s and par 5’s and one net best ball on all par 4’s. The ladies really met the challenge with very close scoring and sharp shooting.
First place was a tie at 95 with a tie breaker on the number one handicap par 4 hole #8. First place was the ABCD team of Marguerite Wilson, Karen Mussoline, Linda Robinson and Mary Ann Strider. Each player pocketed $8.
In second place, also scoring 95 and pocketing $7 each, was the team of Diana Azor, Nancy Steck, Gloria White and Carol Millward.
The third place team, made up of Nancy Outlaw, her guest Linda Mohring, Fran Brown and Alison Taylor, rolled in a 98 to earn $6 each. The final three teams playing all came in with a 99 and no money
Chip-ins: Ann Chotiner, Linda Miles and Alison Taylor.
Birdies: Fran Brown, Ann Chotiner, Linda Miles and Beckie Suverkrup.
