I am owner/artist, Ryshell Lynch from The Upper Room Tat2 Parlor and designed the mascot "Low Jack" for Hayesville High School that I have spent the summer working tirelessly on.
After doing some research on the cost of a professionally constructed mascot and learning that the ones that were readily available for order online without customizing were also not made in our school's signature "Vegas Gold" color, I changed avenues and instead did some research on how I could construct one myself.
I can assure you, what I spent around 50 hours on this summer is actually a better quality than a premanufactured mascot that can be ordered with a few clicks online and I learned how to build a professionally custom-made costume that would have cost around $2,000 for custom order.
I am super proud to say that if I don't factor in my labor hours, lol, I was able to construct the school's new mascot for around $350-$400. It probably could have been less had I not had so many learning curves. Either way, I was hoping to announce that I am donating it to the school from my business, The Upper Room Tat2 Parlor, for home games in any sport, as a jersey from whichever sport necessary can be added to the costume.
I really hope that there is an enthusiastic student each year who is up to taking on “Low-Jack’s” personalty and I look forward to seeing him at my senior, Brendan Lynch's varsity basketball games as well as out on the football field supporting the team. I can't wait to see him be used for many years to come as my other two students, Felicity, fifth grade, and Sebastian Lynch, third grade, grow up and he attends their future games in high school.
