On Monday, March 3 the Hayesville Middle School girls’ track team competed at the Murphy track field. The girls won with a final score of 101.
High Jump: Leah Black and Ellie Black tied for first place with 4 feet 4 inches.
Long Jump: Lucy Trout, second place with 13 feet 8.50 inches; Ellie Black got fourth place with 11 feet 3 inches.
Triple jump: Ellie Brown, fifth place with 24 feet 7.75 inches.
Discus throw: Harper Ledford, first place with 58 feet 3 inches; Alaina Crawford, fourth place with 51 feet 5.50 inches.
Shot put: Harper Ledford, second place with 20 feet 10 inches; Candance King, fourth place with 20 feet 7 inches.
4x800 meter relay: Ayden Margo, Kennedy Trapp, Lily Gordon and Makenna Moss, first place with a time of 12:02.21.
100-meter hurdles: Taylan Young, third place with a time of 21.08. In the 100-meter dash; Lucy Trout, first place with a time of 14.43.
4x200 meter relay: Anna Cate Evans, Annie Godfrey, Eva Jones and Taylyn Young, first place with a time of 2:06.62.
1,600-meter run: Makenna Moss, first place with 6:08.84; Kennady Trapp, second place with a time of 6:49.19; Allie Godfrey, third place with a time of 6:51.53; Alaina Greenstone, fourth place with a time of 6:52.05; Lily Gordon, fifth place with a time of 6.59.98.
4x100 meter relay: Anna Cate Evans, Annie Godfrey, Eva Jones and Taylyn Young got first place with a time of 59.20.
400-meter dash: Ayden Margo, second place with a time of 1:13.97; Mati Canup, third place with a time of 1:15.52.
800-meter dash: Makenna Moss, first place with a time of 2:51.94; Alaina Greenstone, fourth place with a time of 3:02.09; Ellie Brown, fifth place with a time of 3:03.98.
200 meter dash: Lucy Trout, second place with a time of 30.67; Eva Jones, fourth place with a time of 31.30.
4x400 meter relay: Mati Canup, Ayden Margo, Taylyn Young and Makenna Moss, first place with a time of 5:05.16.
